2009 Kidz Music Reviews

April Music Reviews
albums from We Kids Rock! & Susan Salidor

There’s A Train & Songs in the Key of Chai

We Kids RockTremendous kid-centered sensibility in this pleasing mixture of originals and re-voiced classics. Can’t say enough about Currier’s smoky vocals, the rocking arrangements and the seamless mix and pacing of this outstanding collection – so I won’t – but pick this thing up and you won’t put it down. But wait, there’s more! Currier has singlehandedly resuscitated 'Wheels on the Bus' from the bone heap of banality, thank you!

There’s A Train, Bill Currier, We Kids Rock, LLC, 2009; CD $9.99; www.wekidsrock.com.

Salidior’s lovely voice highlights this collection of traditional Jewish Songs in the Key of Chai remembered from her youth and a fewish, newish some not Jewish Susan Salidororiginals that weave seamlessly into this beautiful musical tapestry. Certainly a work of love.

Songs in the Key of Chai, Susan Salidor, Peachhead Productions, 2009; CD $10.00; www.susansalidor.com. Buy or Download Songs in the Key of Chai at Kidzmusic.com.
